The report promotes the development of nationally consistent data on land use, land cover and land management practices, as well as information products, standards, analyses and assessments. It is produced by the Australian Collaborative Land Use and Management Program (ACLUMP) as a technical reference to support land use mapping in Australia at national, state and regional levels. This handbook is the primary reference for version 7 of the Australian Land Use and Management (ALUM) Classification. It also outlines updated nationally agreed principles and procedures adopted by ACLUMP as the basis for mapping at both the catchment scale and the national scale. A limited number of printed copies are available by contacting info.abares@agriculture.gov.au
